Newsworthy is an interdisciplinary piece that deconstructs television news media conventions. It imagines the news as a physical machine positioned between individuals and the stories that define our society. No matter what is actually happening in the world, the news upholds a comforting status quo, balancing more urgent matters with light-hearted ones.  This piece comments on the media’s ability to direct our attention according to its own agenda, and explores the overstimulation that results.
